The development of the UI/UX of this project is heavily inspired by many other franchises and some of them included the enhancement of the following ideas:
Shopkeeper mechanics from games like "Undertale" and "Persona": with a long-term relationship system, several NPCs were created with dialog trees, unique personalities, roles and services for the player to engage with, such as buying items, selling, refinement, tool prefix reroll, unlocking new cooking/crafting recipes and more. This UI also features an in-game emissive rim light that enhances the NPC sprite silhouette, with idle animations and many particle flourishes on certain actions.
Ability checks and dice roll mechanics from games like "Baldur's Gate": several props and structures are locked behind a dice roll mini-game, affected by player attributes and customized outcomes for the different props, such as treasure chest content or the strength of a sword stuck inside a stone prop. This feature enhanced the original BG3 DnD dice roll UI by letting the player physically grab and throw the dice, letting it bounce the edges of the screen with big particle flourishes when landing the best outcome.
Roguelike progression cards from games like "Hades" and "Vampire Survivors": with many animations implemented on each UI element transitioning in-and-out of view, this classic roguelike screen also features a "hold to confirm" type of button that removes the need of additional confirmation prompts, while also giving immediate feedback to the player that they are about to make a commitment.
